The Premier League will get underway on Friday and here at Betting Sites we will preview every game of the coming season, providing the latest odds and offers courtesy of our betting partners.
As English football’s elite get prepared for what promises to be a thrilling season we take a look at the games taking place on Saturday as well as looking at Leicester City’s trip to Manchester United in Friday’s curtain raiser. Odds are provided by top bookmaker, Ladbrokes.
Friday
Manchester United vs Leicester City (20:00)
The 2018/19 Premier League season kicks off at Old Trafford with Manchester United taking on 2015/16 winners, Leicester City.
The home side are tipped to get their campaign underway with three points but after a less-than-ideal pre-season, that is far from guaranteed.
Manager, Jose Mourinho, cut a frustrated figure on the sidelines as he saw his depleted Red Devils struggle on their US tour. Annoyed at a lack of transfer activity, United look set to go into the new season in disarray.
Of their three summer signings so far only Fred is expected to be in Friday’s match day squad. The World Cup exertions of several players, including Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba will be missing for Manchester United.
The visitors lost talisman, Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City this summer but are boosted by the shrewd acquisitions of James Maddison, Jonny Evans and Rachid Ghezzal.
Defender, Harry Maguire, remains a target for Manchester United and Leicester are bracing themselves for a massive deadline day bid. The Foxes are closing in on the double signing of defenders Filip Benkovic and Caglar Soyuncu.

Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspur (12:30)
Neither Newcastle United or Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a productive transfer window with the latter yet to make a single signing this summer.
Like Manchester United on Friday, the World Cup could leave Spurs without numerous first team players on Saturday. The likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Kieran Trippier enjoyed a fine summer tournament and may not be ready for the trip to Newcastle.
The visitors are slight favourites with the bookmakers but that is more a testament to Newcastle’s troubles. The Toon Army have been left angry and frustrated by Mike Ashley’s reluctance to dip into the transfer market. Rafa Benitez faces an uphill struggle to repeat last season’s top ten finish.

Bournemouth vs Cardiff City
Cardiff City are the bookies’ odds-on favourites to make an immediate return to the Sky Bet Championship and given the rough set of fixtures awaiting them throughout September and October, Warnock’s side need to hit the ground running.
After three August fixtures against Bournemouth (a), Newcastle United (h) and Huddersfield Town (a), Cardiff City begin a run of seven games in which they will take on six of last season’s top seven.
Saturday’s hosts, Bournemouth, will want to avoid the disastrous start they made to the last campaign. The Cherries were stuck in the bottom three during the early months thanks to a run of one win in their first eight games.
Eddie Howe’s side have been boosted by the news that Jermain Defoe will stay on the south coast, opting against a move to Rangers.

Fulham vs Crystal Palace
Fulham begin life back in the big time with a tricky looking London Derby at home to Crystal Palace.
The home side gained plenty of plaudits in earning promotion last season and the capture of Andre Schurrle will only enhance their attacking prowess.
For Crystal Palace, keeping hold of their talisman, Wilfried Zaha, is as important as any new signing could’ve been. Palace were far more effective with the Ivorian in the team last season.
Both Fulham and Crystal Palace started last season in desperate fashion with Fulham struggling to deal with play-off heartache just a few months earlier and Palace in disarray under their now-departed coach, Frank de Boer.
On match day two Fulham face another London derby with a trip to Spurs whilst Palace welcome Liverpool to Selhurst Park. These fixtures highlight the importance of getting points on the board early. Fulham have the slight edge in the bookies’ betting market.

Huddersfield Town vs Chelsea
Huddersfield Town were something of a surprise package last season after defying predictions of certain relegation to finish clear of the bottom three. In an attempt to build on last season, David Wagner’s side have brought in seven new players, several of these could be on show at the John Smiths Stadium on Saturday.
Visitors, Chelsea, have endured a turbulent summer and have been central to many of the transfer window’s biggest transfer rumours. New boss, Maurizio Sarri, has managed to keep Eden Hazard and Willian out of the clutches of Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively but the Blues have lost Thibaut Courtois to Madrid.
Spanish goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, has completed a world record transfer from Athletic Bilbao to Chelsea and is set to start against Huddersfield. He could be joined in the starting eleven by fellow summer signing, Jorginho.

Watford vs Brighton & Hove Albion
Watford host Brighton at Vicarage Road on match day one and the bookies’ odds suggest this could be one of the tightest games all weekend.

Playmaker, Richarlison, has now left for Everton and Saturday could see Gerard Deulofeu make his competitive debut in his place.

Long-term target, Alireza Jahanbakhsh, could be handed a Premier League debut whilst the travelling supporters may get to see a handful of their other summer signings in a Brighton shirt for the first time.
